SO YOU WANNA MINE SOME NAHS?

So a couple of your mates have jumped on the Strayacoin band wagon and you want to jump in too, but you don’t know where to begin. You’re a little skeptical and you don’t wanna drop your hard earned dough, no worries! You can mine some NAH. There are a few easy steps you can follow to get your NAH flowing into your wallet. Now remember, Strayacoin is a fork of Bitcoin, and uses a similar mining method, so if you wanna research the mining method yourself, you can google ScryptHASH, but we wont bore you with the technical mumbo jumbo for now.

Step 1. Download the wallet

The first thing you want to do is download the Strayacoin-core-version.zip. This will contain all the useful tools needed to get your NAH. You can click here to get there. Keep in mind this guide is for Windows, but we also support mining for Linux and Ubunti if you swing that way.

2. Set Up Your Wallet

Now you’ve downloaded the files. Make sure to extract them. First thing you want to do is open the strayacoin-qt file. NOTE: If it opens and immediately closes, this is because windows firewall is blocking it. Open up windows firewall and try to un-quarantine the file.

Youll see down the bottom right that it is syncing, you need to wait for this to hit 100%. This can take a while, maybe go grab a cuppa and a Tim Tam and check back when its finished.

Once its done, itll look a little like the image below, you can close your file and move onto the next step.

Step 3. Copy some files

In the same folder that you extracted all the files from, you should see a strayacoin.conf file. Do yourself a favour and copy this.

Press your windows key + R and type/paste in %appdata%/strayacoin/.

Step 4. Start mining

We’re almost there, finish line in sight. Re-open the strayacoin-qt program again and wait for the wallet to finish syncing. While the strayacoin-qt wallet is open, open the mine.bat file and it should begin mining.

You can open a maximum of 4 miners on windows, and the rewards are based on the number of miners, the difficulty of the pool and the strength of your CPU. Good luck!
